Want Your Team to Have The Pins Everyone Wants? Start Designing Now
With the 2010 Little League season now ended, it's time to reflect on how things went. How did your team do in the games? Most importantly, how much fun did your players have?
For us at Trading Pin Superstore, it was another great year. We had a terrific time creating some of the coolest custom trading pins we've ever made. It's unbelievable how creative so many of you can be!
As you review the highlights of the season, think about your trading pins. How good was your team's design this year? Were your pins the greatest thing since the grand slam, or did they generate about as much excitement as a rained-out game?
What pins made your team's players go "WOW" - your own or another team's? If it was your own team's design, congratulations. Now how will you equal or top that wow factor next year? If it wasn't your own, what was it about the others that gave them that extra appeal?
Sure, it's ridiculously early to talk about trading pins for next season. But it's also a great time to review. Your memories of the past season's best pins are fresh, and you have plenty of time to consider next year's design.
Ask your players what they thought were the best pins. What did they like about them? How do they think those pins compared to their own? What would they like to see on next year's pins?
Think about the size of the trading pins. Bigger always trades better. Then consider the options. On a tight budget? If you haven't already, think about adding glitter to next year's pins. It's an inexpensive way to add sparkle and an elegant look to the pins.
Remember, trading pins aren't the place for low-key. You want flash, wow, oomph. Got a mascot? Give 'em flashing eyes! LED lights will really make those pins stand out.
Did you have danglers this year? If your budget is exceptionally tight, you can update them next year instead of all-new pins.
Consider adding motion to your trading pins. Spinners, sliders and bobble heads all really catch the eye, giving your pins a suitable coolness quotient. Or in more modern terms, the kids will think your pins are "sick."
